Helen Chernikoff is a seasoned journalist who puts her experience to work for West End Strategy Team clients by pitching stories, crafting content and shaping social media strategy with a reporter’s mindset. Her clients include organizations whose advocacy and activism are values-based and often rooted in religious beliefs.
Prior to joining WEST, Helen worked as a digital and print journalist for 20 years, building a career that included Reuters’ business desk, nonprofit faith-based publications and community newspapers. She launched and ran a blog focused on disability and inclusion, and was an award-winning senior news editor at the Forward.
Helen holds a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in history and French from Amherst College. She has written essays and opinion pieces on parenting and other topics in Today’s Parent, Brain, Child: The Magazine for Thinking Mothers, the New York Daily News and New York Newsday.
