Lacey Johnson


Lacey Johnson works closely with their clients to develop comprehensive strategic communications campaigns that leverage clients’ passion and expertise to achieve success. At West End Strategy Team, they support clients dedicated to protecting the freedom of expression and the press, and to expanding equal rights.

Prior to WEST, Lacey served on the communications team at Public Citizen, a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization. He also previously worked at the Brennan Center for Justice and Freedom House.

While a student at Howard University, he led the LGBT+ organization CASCADE and served as editor-in-chief of Sterling Notes, the literary magazine of the Sterling Allen Brown English Department.

Lacey holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Howard University, where they also minored in English. They currently are pursuing a master’s degree in library science at the University of Maryland, College Park.
