Lacey Johnson

Associate

Lacey Johnson supports nationally and internationally engaged clients in cultivating and elevating their messages in front of varied audiences through targeted earned media strategies. At West End Strategy Team, they support clients focused on expanding equal rights, protecting the freedom of expression and the press, and advancing corporate responsibility.

Prior to WEST, Lacey served on the communications team at Public Citizen, a nonprofit consumer advocacy organization. He also previously worked at the Brennan Center for Justice and Freedom House.

While a student at Howard University, he led the LGBT+ organization CASCADE and served as editor-in-chief of Sterling Notes, the literary magazine of the Sterling Allen Brown English Department.

Lacey holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Howard University, where they also minored in English. They are currently pursuing a master’s degree in library science at the University of Maryland, College Park.
