Romelo Wilson

Drawing from his experience with journalism, nonprofit communications and public policy work, Romelo Wilson supports clients in developing and disseminating strategic messaging that furthers their goals. At West End Strategy Team, he works with clients seeking to hold large corporations and governments accountable, expand voting rights and promote broad civic engagement.

Prior to WEST, Romelo was a legislative intern in the office of Senator Michael Bennet. Before his time on Capitol Hill, Romelo served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Horizons at Colorado Academy. He also previously served as a staff writer and photographer for the Minaret, the University of Tampa’s student newspaper, and interned with The Garnette Report, a small digital publication focused on art and fashion, as the first writer to report on domestic and international issues.

Romelo holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from the University of Tampa, where he also studied journalism and Spanish.
