Rachel Tardiff

Executive Vice President

As executive vice president, Rachel Tardiff manages West End Strategy Team’s client teams to ensure we continue to provide best-in-class services in support of our clients’ missions and goals. She focuses on building systems and processes to keep the firm running smoothly and to ensure the continued success and growth of WEST’s team members. 

Before joining WEST, Rachel spent nine years at Media Matters for America, a research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media. In her most recent role as senior advisor for people & culture, Rachel managed human relations, including overhauling and overseeing employee performance management, annual evaluations, and professional development. She also led hiring and onboarding processes; provided organization-wide operational support; and coached department heads on effective management practices. 

Rachel started her career as a media relations specialist and political communication strategist. She worked to help pass California’s Domestic Workers Bill of Rights and the state’s landmark equal pay legislation, fought for fair wages for Capitol Hill food service workers, organized youth climate activists to block the Keystone Pipeline, and brought the stories of military rape survivors to Capitol Hill to push for unprecedented military policy change on the issue.

Rachel holds bachelor’s degrees in public communication and literature from American University.
