Will Mesinger has a track record of leveraging compelling media placements and effective communication strategies to equip clients to achieve their programmatic, advocacy and development goals. At West End Strategy Team, Will collaborates with clients to translate complex domestic and foreign policy priorities into successful creative campaigns.
Before joining WEST, Will was a director with Meraki Communications Group where he led communications and public affairs efforts for social justice groups working on criminal legal reform, historic preservation, financial education and veterans’ issues. His public affairs work with The Sentencing Project was critical to passing the Oklahoma Survivors’ Act, legislation that allows incarcerated domestic violence survivors to petition for resentencing if domestic abuse played a role in their conviction.
Will previously served as a fellow for the U.S. Department of State’s Department of European and Eurasian Affairs. Early in his career, he worked in Congressman Paul Tonko’s (D-NY) district office and on Capitol Hill with the U.S. Committee on House Administration.
Will holds a bachelor’s degree in government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He lives on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., with his wife.
